Just as the Perth chamber of commerce is looking outwards more these days, more people are looking into the windows of Inge-Va House, and discovering that, lo and behold, there’s a chamber in there.

“We want to bring ourselves closer together, by working together and not duplicating services,” said Debra Bellevue, president of the Perth and District Chamber of Commerce, during their annual dinner awards were held at Farrell Hall on Thursday, Oct. 20, of the closer bonds between the chamber and the Dowtown Heritage Perth Business Improvement Area (BIA). The “BIA and the chamber (are) attending board meetings with each other,” as well as sharing membership lists, said Bellevue.

During the recent Doors Open Perth event, more than “a hundred people crossed the threshold,” of Inge-Va House where the chamber is now located. “100 per cent of those people did not know that the chamber was at Inge-Va House.”
